Dream Fabric is a polyester material and may be machine washed when necessary. Frequent washing may gradually affect the appearance and vibrancy of the printed color, so we recommend spot cleaning whenever possible.

1. Wash the backdrop by itself in a clean washing machine.
2. Loosely fold the backdrop with the printed surface facing inward.
3. Use cold water and a gentle or delicate cycle with the lowest available spin setting.
4. Use only a small amount of mild liquid laundry detergent.
5. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, harsh stain removers, or products containing brightening agents.
6. Remove the backdrop promptly when the wash cycle is complete.
7. Hang the backdrop to dry or tumble dry using low heat only.

Royal Fleece and Fleece may be machine washed when necessary. To help preserve the printed surface and color, use the gentlest washing and drying settings available.

1. Wash the backdrop alone in a clean washing machine.
2. Loosely fold the printed side inward before placing it in the washer.
3. Wash with cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle using the lowest available spin setting.
4. Use a small amount of mild liquid laundry detergent.
5. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, dryer sheets, harsh stain removers, or brightening products.
6. Remove the backdrop promptly after washing.
7. Hang to dry or tumble dry using low heat only.

Dream Fabric, Royal Fleece, and Fleece: Fold lines can usually be removed by placing the backdrop in a dryer on low heat for a short period or by using a garment steamer.

• Keep the steamer moving and avoid holding it in one place.
• Steam from the reverse side whenever possible.
• Do not use high heat.
• Do not place a hot iron directly against the printed surface.

Poly Paper and vinyl: Do not place these materials in a dryer. Store them tightly rolled and allow them time to relax after being unrolled.

Poly Paper cannot be washed or wiped clean. Water, frosting, liquids, and cleaning products may stain or damage the printed surface.

Vinyl may be gently wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Do not scrub the surface or use bleach, solvents, abrasive cleaners, or harsh chemicals. Some frosting dyes and liquids may permanently stain vinyl even when cleaned promptly.

For cake smash sessions, we recommend placing glare-free plexiglass or another suitable protective surface over the printed floor area.

Poly Paper and vinyl are tear resistant, but they must still be handled carefully. These materials have printed surfaces that may be scratched, scuffed, stained, or permanently creased.

• Do not drag or slide props, furniture, backdrop stands, or other objects across the printed surface.
• Keep sharp objects away from the backdrop.
• Do not walk on the backdrop with dirty or sharp footwear.
• Make sure props do not have rough or unfinished edges.
• Avoid tightly folding materials that should be stored rolled.

Frosting, food coloring, liquids, dirt, and other session materials may permanently stain or damage a backdrop. A protective floor covering is strongly recommended for cake smash sessions.

When photographing dogs or other animals, please remember that claws may scratch the printed surface. Keep pets’ nails trimmed and use an appropriate protective surface when needed.

Customers are responsible for carefully removing all staples from the shipping tube before attempting to remove the backdrop.

A staple left inside the tube may catch on the material and scratch, tear, or otherwise damage the printed surface. Please inspect the entire tube opening and confirm that all staples have been completely removed before pulling out the backdrop.

Poly Paper and vinyl: Store the backdrop tightly rolled inside its original shipping tube whenever possible. This helps prevent scratches, creases, and flattening.

If the backdrop is stored outside the tube, roll it tightly and lay it horizontally on the floor or another supported surface. The center of the roll should remain circular. If the center appears oval, the backdrop is not rolled tightly enough and may flatten or develop creases.

Dream Fabric, Royal Fleece, and Fleece: These materials may be gently folded or rolled. Make sure the backdrop is completely dry and clean before storing it in a dry location.

Large-format printed backdrops are designed to be photographed from a distance and used within the depth of field. They are not intended to be inspected or photographed extremely close to the printed surface.

A distance of approximately six feet is typical, although the ideal distance will vary depending on the backdrop design, camera lens, lighting, subject, and desired photographic effect.
